Farm Tours for Groups of 10+

group of children meeting a Sulcata Tortoise on a field tripAre you looking for a fun interactive way for class or summer camp to learn about farming? Do you have a group of 10+ looking for something different to do?  Come for a farm tour and interactive activity! We are a small-scale farm in Orangevale, CA where everyone has a job to do. The alpaca and rabbits provide fiber and wool to be spun into yarn. They also provide cold fertilizer (poop) for the garden. The garden provides food for the humans (us) and the animals. We have a working compost system that digests all the waste the farm produces from our animals as well as brown (leaves, plants, etc.) and green (kitchen scraps, coffee grounds, tea bags, etc.)  matter converting it into garden soil for the following year.

field trip kids learning to plant flowersJoin us for a farm field trip year around (weather permitting) Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday for $5 per group member. It’s a fun and educational activity for all ages and will include an interactive enrichment activity for your entire group. Your group is invited to bring a sack lunch for a picnic after the field trip. Enrichment options include: planting a flower, skirting a raw fleece for a cold soak, harvesting herbs, to name a few.

Please note we need at least 30 days to make arrangements and organize enrichment activities. Just click the button below to get started. We look forward to see you at the farm!
